What Does It Mean To Have Gas In Your Joints?

5.4, 150 lbs, 94 year old African American female, with minimal health issues. High Blood pressure, cholesterol, nexium, iron, nitro patch medications. Takes cortisone shots in her knee. Complaints of joint pain and states she may have gas in her leg. What does it mean to have gas in your joints?

Hello,

I understand that the patient has too much pains at the joints which are weight bearing in nature. usually the injection given in between the particulars for reducing the pain. Also, there is nothing like a gas in the joint. In fact, there is not sufficient space in between the articular surface to have gas in the joints. There will be restricted joint movement and the patient might feel some gas restricting the movements but with regular exercise this problem can be resolved.
