What Does Itching On The Back, Arms And Legs Indicate?
My 86 year old mom has an itch on her back, down her spine, arms, neck for 4 months straight. She has no rash and hardly sleeps because she can t get relief. She s been to many doctors which still haven t been able to diagnose her or give her medication for relief. She s been to her medical doctor, dermatologist, allergist, and 2 heart doctors. I need advice on what type of doctor she should see now.
HI Well come to HCM Thank for asking, I really appreciate your concern, I have gone through the history given and from that I could say that it could be chronic pruritus condition emotional stress could be the cause of this, condition can be tried with Hydroxyzine 10 mg three times in day, I would advise for endocrine tests like plasma glucose test and other, common infection of scabies also need to be ruled out, in differential diagnosis it could be atopic dermatitis hope this information helps.
