What Does Lack Of Bleeding After Taking Abortion Tablets Indicate?

hi doctor i got my last periods on 23rd december. i checked my pregnancy test on 3rd feb and it is positive. after consulting medical representative i took mifepristone and misoprostol tablets. i took hi i had my last periods on 23rd december. i checked on 3rd feb and the result is positive. i took 2 misoprostol tablets orally the same day. on saturday night i took 1 mifepristone tablet. but till date i didnt got bleeding also. please suggest

Understand your concern
Never take abortion pill without the guidance of gynecologist as it cause complication like excessive bleeding and chance of failure of abortion.
As you took mifepristone and two misoprostol and after that no bleeding may be due to ineffective dose.
Generally bleeding or abortion process will start with in 4 hour. If bleeding will not induce after 24 hour of taking misoprostol then you have to consult the gynecologist to know the following status of pregnancy
1. Ectopic pregnancy: In ectopic pregnancy abortion pill dose not induce the abortion process. It should be treated by surgery.
2. Go for USG scan to know the intrauterine pregnancy: if intrauterine still present then you have to terminate by surgical process like D & C as abortion pill affect the fetus and cause developmental defect.

Inspite of induced bleeding after 24 hour, go for USG scan after 14 days to confirm incomplete abortion/compete process of abortion.
