What Does Late Period With Positive UPT Followed By Spotting Indicate?
I usually have heavy menstrual cycles very regular almost to the hour and day. I m 34 and I ve had 2 ER confirmed miscarriages. My period was 3 weeks late and took a home test that confirmed pregnancy. A week later I began light spotting and bleeding but only enough for pantyliners for 3 days. Only cramped 1st day but did have some red blood as well. This developed the day after I began prenatal vitamins. Stopped vitamins, stopped bleeding. Should I retest? Or take it as a light pregnancy due to my past experiences. I ve NEVER made it past 10 weeks pregnant. Thank you.
Hi, I have gone through your question. Spotting and cramps are suggestive that you may have threatened abortion,in which the fetus is viable but will abort if proper measures are not taken immediately. This have no relation with prenatal vitamins, so need of stopping them. I would suggest you to consult your OBGYN specialist immediately so that a ultrasound can be done, and if fetus is alive and then progesterone support in form of capsules and injections can be given. If you abort this time also, then you have to get properly investigated for the cause of recurrent abortions. Hope you found this answer helpful. Please do get back bak to us for further queries. Wishing you good health.
