Hi Doc, I am Laila from Goa, 52 years old. recenlty I had a medical check up, which included ECG . the report states ... left axis deviation.. is that cause for worry. secondly cholestrol levels are high .. 294, LDL is around 239 and HDL is around 60. recently I had a peculiar problem and the symptoms were kind of a heart attack ... kindly advise

In general left axis deviation is not a problematic thing if the deviation is not big or unless it is accompanied by Other cardiac problems.
You definitely have high total and LDLcholesterol which must be taken care of by amending your food habits and regular exercises along with proper anti cholesterol medicine prescribed by your doctor.
Good thing in you is very good level of HDL and it is acting as heart protector to you.
Keep a regular date with your cardiologist.

Your age , deranged lipids and complaints definitely indicate towards undeerlying heart condition like angina .
you need
1 aim to controll cholesterol with dietary measures , exercise and medicines like statins .
2 total cholesterol has to be below 200 and LDL has to below 125 .
3 HDL cholesterol is normal .
4consider stress test - if positive will need further check ups .
5 healthy lifesttyle is also essential to prevent further complications .
