HI DOCTOR, TODAY WENT FOR 6TH MONTH SCAN. IN SCAN EVERYTING OK. BUT DOCTOR SAID ONE PROBLEM THAT LEFT UTERINE ARTERY PL 1.50 EARLY DISTOLIC NOTCHING PRESENT . ANY COMPLICATIONS IN THIS RESULT. AND ASLO SHE SAID WAIT FOR A MONTH AND DON ANOTHER SCAN, IF THE PROBLEM PERSIST MEANS SHE GIVE A MEDINCE . KINDLY ADVISE

Hi,thanks for writing.. Left uterine artery shows early diastolic notching means blood flow through the left uterine artery is mildly reduced.. It can be a predictor of fetal growth restriction in future or development of hypertension in mother. So a constant follow up is required to pick up early growth restriction and development of hypertension. You need not do anything or worry about it. Hope I have answered your query.. Good day.
