Hey thanks for using HCM.I understood your problem just be patient.Less liquor is what we call oligohydramnios. Which can also be caused due to many reasons some of them are - 1.fetal chromosomal anomolies 2.intra uterine infections 3.Drugs; PG inhibitors, ACE inhibitors 4.renal agenesis or obstruction of the urinary tract (posterior urethral valve in male fetus)of the fetus preventing micturation 5.IUGR associated with placental insufficiency amnion nodosum; failure of secretion by the cells of the amnion covering the placenta postmaturity (dysmaturity) IUGR is the most commonly found reason for less liquor. Your doctor has suggested it right to undergo colour doppler which shows if there is any disparity in uterine and placental blood flow. Inj betnesol is given to stimulate maturation of lungs but I dont understand why your doctor is suspecting a preterm labour.?? So next time you visit your doctor do ask her the reason.Thank you.
