What Does 'liquefaction-180 And Agglutination-none' On Semen Analysis Suggest?
Hi I am 45 Years old and had a Chiari Type II Operation (Decompression of the Cerebular fluid at the base of the skull) 2 years ago and also had a cervical stenosis operation 3 months following that. I recently discovered that my wife and I can no longer conceive. The doctor ordered a semen analysis and came out as the following; Volume 3.5 ml, Color Whitish/Gray, Viscosity Liquid, Liquefaction 180, Agglutination none, PH 8. Type 1 is 0, Type 2 is 7, Type 3 is 25 and Type 4 is 8. Presense of few gelatinous material. What can you advise and do you need to see more data. Please advise
The semen analysis report is incomplete. Total sperm count is not mentioned. Motility is also less. Need to rule out any infection in view of increased liquefaction time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr B. Radhakrishnan. Nair, OBGYN
