What Does Low Lying Placenta During 18 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
At my 18 week scan, all measurements were fine besides low lying placenta. I returned for another scan at 24 weeks and the placenta had moved but they noticed the left ventricle was borderline dilated to 10.7. What does this mean? Should I be worried? Again, ALL measurements were okay besides the borderline vent measurement. I was referred to get a level 2 scan for a second opinion. Is there a margin for error on ultrasound scans...if so what is it?
Hi, I have gone through your question. Borderline ventricular dilatation of the fetus can be due to some anomaly in the fetal heart, which may be any major or minoranomaly. Moreover, there may be associated anomalies also. I would also suggest you to get a level 2 anomaly ultrasound as soon as possible, so that further decision can be taken early. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
