What Does Low Lying Placenta During Pregnancy Indicate?
I am 13 week pregnant now. I had a usg during my 9th week and I was informed that I am having a low lying placenta. I am planning for a flight travel within 2 weeks. Will that pose a risk on the health of me and my baby? What precautions shall I take?
hi,,,9 weeks ultrasound is too early to indicate whether this low lying placenta is a matter of concern or not for the baby.but yes any kind of travel should be avoided as its a risk for bleeding.even intercourse is to be avoided and take rest.all the best.repeat an ultrasound at 20 weeks for placental position.in 90 percent cases the low lying placenta in early pregnancy recedes up as the pregnancy advances.
