What Does Lump Below Cheekbone Indicate?

My son noticed a lump just below his cheekbone yesterday. He had me feel it and it is the size of a grape but round. He said his teeth aren t bothering him and it doesn t cause any pain. I sent him to the Dr. today because he leaves for college in two days. The doctor said it could be a cyst.

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. He may have some benign cyst like sebaceous cyst or dermoid cyst. Or some submandibular lymphnode enlargement. He should go for biopsy. It will give you exact diagnosis.
Then he should take treatment accordingly.
