What Does Mass At The Head Of Pancreas Blocking Bile Duct Mean?

This is an e mail re my uncle Earl age 50. How does this sound: Earl has not been doing well. He continues to be jaundiced and have problems with his liver. Today he had an MRI and more lab. We heard back from the Doctors office today. His bilirubin went up again to a 10.3 with normal a 1.4. When looking at his MRI, they found a mass at the head of the pancreas blocking his bile ducts.

Hi thanks for asking question.
There is mass over pancreas head.so it will obstruct bile duct.so bilirubin containing bile transport defective.so lead to obstructive jaundice with conjugated hyperbilirubin.
So here surgery has to be done for removal of pancreatic mass and send it for histopathological examination to rule out malignancy.
Take rest.avoid spicy food.
Don't drink alcohol and avoid smoke.
I hope I have answer you best.
