IUGR stands for intra-uterine growth retardation and usually is diagnosed after at least 2 ultrasound investigations conducted with a gap. An IUGR could be an indication of several possibilities like medications used during pregnancy, chromosomal disorders, smoking, alcohol or drug abuse, etc. An echogenic intracardiac foci could be indicative of a chromosomal disorder like Downs syndrome but will have to be conducted. Please request for a quad marker test to confirm or rule out the same.
The various mood swings and emotional episodes will not and should not affect your baby, just try to stay calm and focused. Wishing you lots of luck.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
