Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM. Right apical pleural thickening is a healed lesion. It can be due to old TB or pneumonia. Once these lesions are cured they are healed by either fibrosis or calcification. And once fibrosis is there it will remain for life time. It is not active disease. You can not remove it as it is not a disease. There is no medication for this. And no surgery is available. You can go for CT thorax. It will tell you more about inactivity of the lesion. In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist for your pleural thickening and get certificate for its inactivity.
