What Does Missed Periods And Sore Breasts With Negative UPT Indicate?
i have been having symptoms of being pregnant i have missed my period for 2 months now and my breast are killing me they hurt to be touch and they have grown a full size in one week i have been natious and my neck and back hurt i took 4 at home pregnancy tests and they were negative then i took a blood test and it was also negative can you please help me i dont understand what is wrong
sore breasts can also be due to other causes like breastfeeding, premenstrual .
if a patient with similar history comes to me & her repeat upt is also negative it would do her pervaginum examination to know the size of uterus . I will also do her thyroid profile, prolactin level I will prescribe her PrimulitN ( progesterone ) tab for 5 days to induce her periods, analgesics for sore breasts & call her in 2 weeks
if she does not bleed after progesterone & her thyroid & prolactin levels r normal, ultrasound will help in ruling out polycystic ovarian disease .serum LH & FSH will also help
hope this helps you
