What Does My Bone Mineral Density Test Indicate?

Hello, Today, I had a simple bone mineral density test at an expo I was at -- I put my finger into a machine which x-rayed it briefly. My T Score was high, 1.78. I ve found websites that say anything about -1 is normal, and others that say anything between -1 and 1 is normal. Some things I ve read indicate that an especially high T Score might be an indicator of other problems, but I can t find any satisfying definition of whether or not my score is high enough to be conceded. is 1.78 too high?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you have got your T score checked it is 1.78. Normal is a T-score of -1.0 or higher. I think your T score is good ,it is little higher side, according to me it is normal .Nothing is to be worried if you have no symptoms and no treatment is needed.
