Hello.... My eye sight is as per follows: R.E.- spherical-(-1.75) & cylindrical- (-0.75), axis 10* L.E.- spherical-(-0.75) & cylindrical- (-0.25), axis 180* I have a medical examination coming up where power of the lens should not be greater than 2D.... For my right eye what is the power of my lens? Are spherical & cylindrical powers added? Also the restriction is for 6/9 vision so will I be comfortable in reading with sph: -1.5 & cyl:- -0.5 axis 10*?
Hi and welcome to HCM, You have not mentioned, what is your vision with the lens power ??? You have given the power of the lens prescription in both eyes, but not written how much you are seeing with this power. It is very difficult to comment whether you will be seeing 6/9 or better with this power. Pls write to me, how much is your vision with this power. In you right eye the spherical power is -1.75, but if the spherical equivalent is taken this it is greater than 2 D. All the best!!!
