What Does My Thyroid Test Report Indicate?

My mother 51 yr age Her serum T3 level - 0.6 T4- 3.78 Tsh - 12.20 Having significant wt. Loss that can be noticed , skin darkening, hot flushing . She is on thyroxin sodium 100mcg tab. From last 1 months. .. So is the wt loss inspire of good appetite is significant with this tsh profile pls explain thanku.

hi thanks for using HCM....
TSH of 12 indictes that her thyroid gland is not producing adequate hormone and the replacement dose of 100mcg is not enough.
You can increase the dose to 125mcg safely after consulting with your doctor .
Usually weight will be increased in hypothyroidism..
Skin will be dry and voice will be hoarsened...
There could be some amount of insulin resistance also be there which is the cause of darkening of the skin ....
Please do a blood sugar profile including HbA1C .....
Please increase the thyroxine Dose and see....thank you...
