What Does No Identifiable Gestational Sac At 6 Weeks Mean?
Hi! My ulrasound showed RVF uterus 6 wks showing no identifiable gestational sac with reminants of conception and opened internal os (inevitible abortion) ovaries cannot be elicited no pelvic fluid. I feel bad i have my backache. Pls help me. Thank you
Hello, Your sonogram findings are suggestive of an incomplete abortion as the sac may have already passed through the open internal os. You should immediately see a specialist for further management. You would need a surgical evacuation if the remaining products do not pass spontaneously. Monitoring under supervision in a hospital is necessary as severe bleeding may ensue if the os is open for prolonged time with a partial abortion. Please maintain genital hygiene and get your coagulation profile done along with blood counts. Take care.
