What Does 'no Signal' On Heart Rate Detecting Machine Suggest?

I have a guidant aicd. Lately I've been feeling rapid beats and irregular beats, tired and short of breath. I have a machine where I can place the wand over the device to send readings to my Dr. But this morning it could not pick up a signal. Does that mean that the battery is dead?

Hi There

Yes you are right, two possibilities are there first either the batteries could be dead. Second may be some lead miss connection.

I would like to suggest you to get a 12 lead SURFACE ECG done and consult a doctor in person.

Good Luck
