Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
There are 2 possible mechanisms for your problem.
1. cervical spondylosis
2. an infection causing a lymph node which is leading to the pain.
I would suggest waiting for the infection to settle.
If the pain persists, test a x ray cervical spine AP/lateral.
Let me know the x ray report and I will be able to help you further from there.
For soar throat, start with
1. warm saline gargles 4 times a day.
2. steam inhalation 4 times a day.
3. plenty of fluids.
4. a multivitamin once a day.
Antibiotics may be needed. Meet a local physician for a prescription for the same.
I hope this helps.
Let me know when you get the x ray.
Best wishes, Dr Saumya Mittal
