What Does Pale Colored Stool During Pregnancy Indicate?
Hello,
I am 39 weeks pregnant and just went to the bathroom and passed stool that was a lighter tan color. This is the first time I have noticed any change in color and it kind of alarmed me. Is this normal? I am aware of cholestasis of pregnancy because several weeks back I was itching so much I began googling cuases. The intense itching only lasted for a day or two and has since gone away, but I know pale colored stool is a symptom of COP too, and I'm trying not to worry/read into it to much. What do you think.

I understand your concern.
Though Pale stools are also observed with intake of anti diarrheals ,
Pale stools with severe itching you had certainly points to Cholestasis of pregnancy.
Investigations are mandatory if it is accompanied by yellow skin, low appetite,nausea.
It may stand difficult for baby, so I would advise you to consult your treating doctor , He may order liver function tests & induce your labor earlier if indicated.
