What Does Patchy Paracardiac And Retrocardiac Areas In X Rays Result Indicate?

i would like to know x ray results mean..,views shows patchy paracardiac and retrocardiac areas. cardiac shadow is not enlarged transversely. Trancheal air column is at the midline. Diaphragmatic leaflets and costophrenic angles are intact,osseous and soft tissue structures are unremarkable

Thanks for posting your query.

Literally patchy paracardiac and retrocardiac areas means the region behind and beside the heart are not properly visible on the X ray .

The causes for this could be either wrong technique while taking X ray or it could be due to Infection of the lung or it could be due to some abnormal growth in the lungs.

It would be more helpful if you can tell me what are your problems and since how long you are having this problem?
