What Does Persistent Spotting While On Nuvaring Indicate?
I ve been on the Nuvaring for 2 years now. I used to have UTI when I started to have sex, but I ve rarely gotten it since then. In the past month, I keep on getting UTI after having sex. Today while peeing, I noticed that I was also peeing blood. I m not on my nuvaring free week, so I m not on my period. I ve heard that being on the nuvaring can cause spotting, which is normal, but in the 2 years that I ve used the ring, I have not had any spotting. What should I do?

Hi, it is a known side effect of nuvaring, so don't worry about it. You can have breakthrough bleeding.If you are having urinary problems, test urine for routine and microscopy and a culture. You may need antibiotics. Take plenty of water and take some alkaliser. Hope I have answered your question.
