I have relapsing Polychondritis affecting my left ear-so far. My ENT/surgeon has already removed quite a bit of necrotic cartlage from that ear. I recently had blood work done with cultures. 2 were positive:#1 Strep and #2:Plus 4 Flora GI Strep. What do these mean?
these are gram positive bacteria which usually cause infection. strep means streptococcus. relapsing polychondritis is a progressive disease of different cartilage of body, but you are mentioning single.also that it is an immunologically mediated disease, culture have a doubtful role. kindly confirm your diagnosis again
