Hello Ms. Preethi,
Short primi means a woman who is pregnant for the first time, i.e., a primigravida who is short in stature. The implication of this term has importance in predicting the process of labor. As you are term, your doctor may be planning your mode of delivery. In uncomplicated state and if the baby is expected to be small, you can be put for a trial vaginal delivery and a cesarean delivery performed only if there is no progress even after six hours while the fetal monitoring is done. If any abnormal conditions exist, your doctor may opt for an abdominal delivery straightaway in order not to jeopardize the baby. Hope your query has been answered. Wish you safe motherhood.
