What Does Progressing Multiple Sclerosis Mean?

HI,I AM TOLD I HAVE PROGRESSING MS,WHAT DOES THAT MEAN AND WHY AREN`T THEY DOING ANYTHING?I KNOW THE SYMPTOMS,WHICH I HAVE MOST OF,I WAS TREATED AND FAILED TO BE CURED,WHAT NOW? IN THE LAST 2 YRS.I HAVE HAD 5 SEISURES,I STUPIDLY HAVEN`T TOLD MY NEUROLOGIST ABOUT AND AM GAINING ALOT OF WEIGHT BECAUSE I CAN BARELY WALK MORE THAN A BLOCK,PLEASE HELP,WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN THE DRS. DO NOT SEEM TO CARE ABOUT MY PAIN? P.S. YOU COULD OF SAID THIS SITE WAS NOT FREE BEFORE I WASTED MY FCKING TIME ONCE AGAIN...THANKS FOR NOTHING,MAYBE MY DEATH WILL BE ON YOUR CONCEINCE!!!!

Welcome on Healthcaremagic!
I understand your concern and would explain that secondary progressive MS is an advanced stage of MS, during which there is gradual progression of the disease and disability, without getting better again.
Unfortunately most of the drugs used to treat MS are not effective in this stage.
But you can still take symptomatic treatment or Azathioprine.
Considering the fact that you have had seizures, an EEG is necessary. Anti-epileptic drugs may be needed.
There are also many treatment options for chronic management of the pain too.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
