What Does Purple Bruises On The Toe Nail Post A Fall Suggest?
I got stepped on at soccer practice a few weeks ago and I can still play with full function. There s a purple bruise at the base of my toe nail and it cracked it the middle the other day. I can t move it very well and occasionally I get shots of pain but otherwise it s numb. Could it be broken?
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got purple bruise due to injury at soccer practice a few weeks ago.By reading your query it is unlikely to be broken. Hematoma(bruise) gradually resolved by itself . Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it. For pain relief you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen. Vitamin B and C are helpful in recovering. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
