What Does Purple Rash On Waist Line Indicate?

I have a hole that has formed near my waste line. There was a purple patch there that was full of blood and while in the shower it ruptured. I ve had the purple spots before and have always attributed them to some sort of epideral cyst, I have keratosis pilaris. These happen often there, but never a hole. The hole is smaller than a q-tip across and from what I can see a quarter inch to a half inch deep. Is this something I need to really worry about?

Hi. Keratosis pilaris probably wont explain the hole (ulcer). I can think of boil (red, hot painful lesion before rupturing) and epidermoid cyst (sebaceous cyst). Sometimes, epidermoid cyst ruptures and then ulcerates. You can take a course of oral antibiotic. And you can post photograph to allow an examination of ulcer. Thanks
