What Does "10/hpf And No Bacterial Growth" On Urine C/s Suggest?

Hi Doc. I have got tested for Urine C/S as i have uti since last 6-7 years i guess... the result is 10/HPF and No bacterial growth.. what does this mean??? And i got treatment before but didnt help.. So can i get herbal treatment?? Will it work?? Plz suggest...

hi,
As your urine routine test of 10/hpf indicates number of White blood cells in high power field(HPF).
The number of WBCs considered normal is typically 2-5 WBCs/hpf or less. if more than 5wbc/hpf indication some infection. As your urine culture ended up with no growth. possibly some inflammation in the urinary tract.
if you still feel any urinary tract symptoms like burning sensation,irritation and another associated symptoms kindly visit your physician.

Punarnava capsules 2 per day from Himalaya herbals and chandraprabha vati 2 per day from AVP pharmacy may be good for Urinary tract infection.
