What Does "Placenta Is Noted In Anterior" Indicate In Pregnancy?
Hi Doctor, My age is 25 and Height is 4 ft 8 inches. I am 22 weeks Pregnant.I had my Anamoly Scan done yesterday. This was mentioned "Placenta is noted in anterior, wall in the mid segment with grade 1 maturity". Could you please explain more on the same. Thanks a lot.
You dont have any serious problems as per the information you have provided.
Placenta usually will be attached posteriorly, Having an anterior placenta may cushion your baby's movements, so it may take longer to first notice your baby's movements. You may also feel fewer movements in your second trimester than you would if the placenta was in a different position. Placenta should not be low lying.
Grade 1 maturity seen (during 18 - 29 weeks of pregnancy) means placenta is having normal maturity at second trimester and this is also normal.
