What Does "motility-60% And Liquefaction-normal" In Semen Analysis Suggest?
HI ,I have been tested and these were result for sperm count and how can I do to be sure of getting a baby. ph-8.0,volume-3.8,liquefaction-normal motility-about 60% of the spermatozoa are actively motile..pus cells seen. 5-10/HPF. mophology-81%have normal mophology. 12%have abnormal heads ,7% have abnormal tails .sperm count 13.3 million per ml .so help.
Hello Thanks for query . The analysis of your Semen can be summarized as
1) Liquefaction time is normal --Normally when semen is ejaculated it is very thick and viscus in nature but in order to move sperms forward it gets liquefied so that sperms can swim freely towards cervix and then into uterus fertilization .
2)Motility of sperm is very important factor for conception .The sperms which are actively motile move fast forward in a straight line towards female egg can fertilize female egg to result in to pregnancy .The normal value of these actively motile sperms should be minimum 20%.
3) Presence of 5-10 Pus cells suggest infection of either Seminal Vesicle or Prostate and needs to be treated with long term course of antibiotics.
Morphologicaly your sperms are normal and nothing to be worried about .
