What Does Red Bumps On Shoulder Blade, Rashes On Neck After Twisting The Body Mean?

Hi Dr. Siegel! I caught myself from falling as I got out of bed one morning and twisted my body as I hit the door with my right side. I was not sore at first until two days later as I carried my handbag on the right shoulder. Would the injury cause the lymph nodes and thyroid gland to react? I have two tiny red bumps above the shoulder blade and a rash all around the neck and up the right side of the neck.

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got injury while you twisted your body as you hit the door. You want to know that this injury can cause lymph node and thyroid to react. Yes these can react to injury by slight enlargement. But you also get rash over shoulder blade and around the neck. I think this cannot be due to injury.You should think about some viral infection as a cause of rash. For pain relief you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen. Vitamin B and C are helpful in recovering. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
