What Does Red Skin Complexion In An Infant Indicate?
My baby is haf german, half african (lightskinned). Tomorrow she will be a week old. My concern is that she is more red in complexion than white or brown. Is this normal, and if so, what is the medical reason behind this? Is it some kind of burning of the skin?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. You should be worried but not too much. She has physiological erythema,it is benign and self-limited.It is vascular reaction due mother's hormones.
