What Does Sedemtaion Level Of 35 And CPR Of 2.5 Indicate?
Hi Doctor , My 10 month old son has fever from the last 7 days and it is most of the times 104.His pediatrician did some blood work and said his sedemetation level is 36 which is little bit high and CPR level is 2.5. is that ok o have sedemtaion level 35 and cpr 2.5 ?
Hi thanks for your question. The erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and the c reactive protein (CRP) are a measure of inflammation in your body. They go up whenever you have an infection or injury. Your sons ESR level is mildly elevated and his CRP is normal. This would be consistent with a viral infection. Best wishes
