Welcome to HCM. I can understand that your sleep is getting disturbed due to your symptoms.Your symptoms are suggestive of
Dry eye disease, and your doctor has started you with one of the best dry eye medication
Systane drops, which usually relieves the pain.
I would suggest you to
1.Continue Systane eyedrops on a regular basis,every 4th hourly/if Systane Gel- atleast 3 times a day.
2.If the symptoms still persist, please make a visit to your doctor to have an assessment on the severity of your Dry eye disease and as you might need additional drops/Ointment.
3.Also,since you question the position of the eye lash, your doctor can also check on the status and do a quick outpatient procedure to get an instant relief.
4.I hope your ophthalmologist is aware of your family history of
Glaucoma. If not please do update the doctor on your future visit.Usually it does not give you such intermittent pain.Since you are concerned about it, please get specific tests done for the same.
Over all,I would say do not worry as detailed examination for your Dry eye disease will give a good relief.Hope this helps.Take care.
