74 year old male. Severe pain at the hip joint. Enough to make him nauseous. Started suddenly about 2 hours ago. Tried soaking in hot tub now applying ice pack. He is on blood thinners, a fib meds, high blood pressure and cholesterol meds. BP 143/83 pulse 60

Did he had any history of fall. Minor fall can cause fractures in elderly. Get an X-ray hip to rule out fractures, as of now you can take analgesics like Tramadol for pain which is safe for you. If pain persist, consult an orthopedic and get evaluated.
