Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have electric type shocks in left wrist that occur for about 2 - 3 days at a tme, at random times during the day and night. Very severe pain. Has been happening for 35 years. GP says extensive and costly neorological exam needed to attempt diagnosis. Any ideas to help me? I am 60 years old, and live in Cape Town, South Africa. Dave
I think you need to undergo EMG and NCV test to find out the functions over there. which can help us understand that why you are having such symptoms for so long. Also, kindly think of doing the test and you can get help. To the extent you may even think of doing MRI for further help. For the time being you can perform some stretch and strength of the muscles which helps to release the pressure of the nerves.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
