I have a sore on the outer lip of my vagina I saw several pictures online that looked just like mine most are saying its a vaginal chancre sore. It is uncomfortable when my underwear rubs against it or when I wipe. Its no bigger than a pencil eraser, it has a white center and very very slightly raised edge.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Chancre sore is due to syphilis. This occurs in case you have an unprotected sex recently with infected person. In such case dark field microscopy of scraping from lesion helps to identify this. After one month of infection a VDRL blood tests also helps to rule out this. If positive antibiotic therapy with doxycycline will be helpful. It is better to have a visual examination with a dermatologist to rule out this as characteristic chancre can be diagnosed by just having a look. If you send a picture then it will be more helpful for me to identify also. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
