Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife recently had a 4 inch spot found on her Posterior pericardium. The cardiology doctor wasn t sure what it was, and neither did her fellow doctors. We are being referred for a cardiac MRI. It was said to be described as not pushing against the heart, and looks almost like liver tissue. Thoughts on what could be there?
Hi welcome to hcm. This could be a hamartomatous tissue.Need not be treated if it is not causing any symptoms. In certain cases a biopsy is indicated to determine the etiology.Consult your cardiologist for further queries. Thank you.
