What Does Spotting Indicate?

I am supposed to start my period tomorrow. However for the past two days I have had light brown with a little pink spotting. Only there when I wipe never even enough to get on a pantyliner. My normal periods are usually extremely heavy and painful. Very much unlike this. What could this be?

Hi,

The spotting you have could be premenstrual separation of endometrium to to physical stress. But, if you had unprotected sex such bleeding could be sign of early conception. If bleeding is scanty and stops go for home pregnancy test after 8 days delay in periods.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
