What Does The MRI Report Indicate?

my mom (age 54 years). MR including MRCP was performed. Report says - "Mild fluid collection in pouch of Douglos and in bilateral adnexal region more on left side - possibly secondary to ruptured ovarion cyst. The ovaries are not separately identified."

What may be the cause and the line of treatment. Is Laproscopy to remove the fluid a right process. Else should we go for operation to remove the cyst as well as fluid.
