I had an MRI, and these are the results.... do I have a problem long term? 1.Severe bilateral foraminal stenosis at C5-6 and on the left at C6-7 with moderate to severe foraminal stenosis on the right at C6-7. 2. C3-4 minimal anterolisthesis with left-sided facet arthropathy and periarticular edema indicative of acute inflammation. Uncinate spurring on the left with severe left foraminal stenosis. 3. C4-5 moderate to severe degenerative disc disease and disc bulge which abuts the ventral cord with mild central spinal canal stenosis. Left-sided facet arthropathy with periarticular edema and uncinate spurring with moderate left-sided foraminal stenosis.
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
You have a long term problem mainly due to degenative cervical column and disc disease.
MRI report shows there are inflammatory processes on your cervical column (arthritis) that gradually resulted in foraminal neural stenosis ( exit nerve roots narrowed) and medular cervical canal narrowing.
MRI findings need to be correlated with clinical findings in order to plan an appropriate treatment.
I suggest you to consult a Neurosurgeon and discuss your concerns and MRI reports.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
