What Does The SGPT Levels At 2200 Indicate?

Hi, I was admitted for two days due to dengue fever. When the dengue hit me, there was no symptoms or any thing. Now, my sgpt result is almost 2200, I was given a medication for 1 month to lower down my sgpt. My question is, how serious is this, having a level of lgpt almosty 2200. Thank you.

High SGPT level indicates some kind of impairment in liver function but it is transient and improves within few days even without treatment. No particular treatment is required and you can repeat the test after two days. Consult a physician in case you develop symptoms like abdominal pain or jaundice.
