What Does The USG Study Report Indicate?
My father is 87 years old. During his normal checkup in his USG study reveals: Cholelithiasis withCholecystitis and post void residue of 77.3 ml. His Gall Stone is 22.3mm in size. He is a heart patient and stabilized with medicine. Also he is on BP medicines. Please suggest if he can go for gall surgery at this stage. Thank You.

you asked good question regarding for your fathers USG report.
it suggestive of gall stone..... well asymptomatic gall stone is not an indication for surgery, so dont go surgery untill they become symptomatic.
post void residual volume of 73 ml is significant and suggestive of obstacle in urine flow mostly due to benign prostatic hyperplasia. your father may need treatment for this condition in form of drugs or surgery.
