What Does The Blood Test For Thyroid With 26.7 UIU/ML Indicate?

I had blood work done for thyroid. Had been off my med prescription of 100 mcg levothyroxine over two months while out of state. Tests on July 9 show normal levels of T 3 and T4 but my TSH REFLEX TO FREE T 4 came back super high. Normal range showed 0.5 to 4.7 and mine showed 26.7 UIU/ML. Please advise? My dr just said that s really weird . You can either go back to the levothyroxine or take armor thyroid. What do you think is causing such a high reading? Thanks. Jan

I didn't get u. U mean to say ur T3 & T4 normal but TSH is high, isn't it? It is possible, not weird. U have to continue levothyroxine and check S.TSH every 3 months. If your concern is too high TSH, get done anti-tpo antibodies and USG Neck if goiter, autoimmune hypothyroidism can cause very high S.TSH and high anti-tpo antibodies.
