What Does The Chest X-ray Suggest?

I was treated for PTB foe one year, completed in 2012. 2012 Chest xray showed fibrotic infiltrates, PTB undetermined activity. Up to recent xray this year (2014), findings show no interval changes, suggesting stability of lesions . I also had a TST that resulted positive. No TB symptoms present. What does this suggest?

Thanls for your question on HCM. I am practising in India, a country where TB is highly prevalent. And in my practice I am seeing similar patients daily. First of all relax and be calm about TST (Tuberculin Skin Test) positive result.
This can be false positive in
1. Old TB lesion
2. BCG vaccination in childhood
3. Sensitivity with atypical mycobacteria.
So in any of the above conditions, TST shows positive result even if you are not suffering from TB. TST is screening test and not the diagnostic test for TB. So no need to worry about positive TST result.
