Hello Doctor, My contact lens prescription reads as follows: Left Eye: Sph -1.25, Cyl -2.75, Axis 150 deg Right Eye: Sph -3.00, Cyl -2.25, Axis 180 deg However, my contact lens vendor says he is out of stock on 150 deg axis and is insisting I could go for a 160 deg axis lens and that it wouldn t matter . Should I take his advise? Please recommend. Thanks, Ravi.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice
Nope you shouldn't. In astigmatism even 10 degrees matter and it could cause a headache . I would advise you to wait for the stock or see some other vendor.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
