What Does The Following Ultrasound Result Of My Cervix Indicate?
Hi, i got my ultrasound results and what does this mean: i have a complex cystic lesion with in presumed cervical stump. it s nonspecific however differential does include endometrioma, versus complex nabothian cyst. Differential includes small postoperative seroma/hematoma. Thank you
I presume that you have had a hysterectomy. Your sonogram report indicates a swelling in the cervical stump. It is in the form of a complex cyst. If you had a history of endometriosis, this could be an endometrioma; a complex nabothian cyst is another possibility.
Nabothian cysts are a common observation while an endometrioma needs to be attended if symptomatic. Seroma needs proper medical care and so is a hematoma. Further management needs to be planned after a clinical consultation with a specialist.
