What Does The Presence Of WBC In Urine Indicate?

Hi, I m a 34 year old female, recently I had a complete blood and urine test (routine check up). Everything normal except wbc in urine (45-50) but no infection. Had the urine test done again plus a 24hour urine test. Again high wbc (20-25). 24hour one everything normal. Had a sonography of kidneys and bladder which was also normal. Also did a complete blood test to check for immunology factors which was also all negative or in range so no problem there either. Was wondering what the problem could be?

Urologist 's  Response
Hi
Pus cells in urine without urinary bacterial infection could be in case of genito urinary tuberculosis. if you have urinary symptoms you should meet a urologist. He can ask for urine PCR for tuberculosis.

Thanks

Dr AKD
